Reiki Healing in El Dorado Hills

Reiki is an energy healing modality that offers tranquility and wellbeing to your life through an energy practice known as Reiki healing. This powerful practice is offered by a practitioner who has been attuned to Reiki energy, aka "life force energy" to help your energy body align with the universal life force energy. Reiki healing is a gentle, yet profound journey that nurtures the soul and opens the door to self-discovery and spiritual growth.

Reiki tends to feel warm and profoundly relaxing. You may feel your Reiki healers hands become hot or tingly. Some people describe a floating sensation, and some see colors or shapes during the session. Some people fall asleep, experience emotional release; and some people feel nothing at all. No matter what your experience is, you can still experience the benefits of Reiki. There is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki; each treatment is unique for the individual who receives it.

If possible, prepare for your Reiki healing session by refraining from alcohol, caffeine, sugar and any other mind altering substances for the 24 hours before your session. Longer if you feel so inspired :)

For in-person sessions, please arrive 10 minutes before your session to settle into the space and not be rushed.

For remote session, feel free to set up your space for deep relaxation. You can put on some chill music, light a candle and lay down with your favorite blanket.

Before a session your Reiki healer will energetically create a container for the session. If you are working in-person your therapist will greet you in the lobby and take you into the Reiki room. If you are working remotely with your Reiki healer, he/she will call or text you.

During an in-person Reiki treatment, you will lay fully clothed on a massage table, covered with a blanket if you choose, listening to soothing music.

To begin the Reiki session, you can sit or lie down. Once you are comfy, your Reiki healer will guide you through some intentional breathing and a guided meditation to help you transition into a receptive healing space. Your Reiki healer will then ask for permission to work on your energy body and ask if you would like hands-on or hands-off (floating hands) work during your session.

Your Reiki healer will also ask if there is any emotional, physical, mental or spiritual areas you would like to focus on during your session. If nothing comes up for you, no worries, your practitioner will be intuitively guided to serve your higher self on the healing journey.

Sometimes unexpected emotions arise during a session. It’s totally normal. Do your best to let them come and move through you.

At the end of your session, your Reiki healer will ground the energy and let you know when it’s time to transition back to open eyed awareness.

Reiki's effects can extend past the treatment session and you may experience physical, energetic, emotional, or spiritual shifts during the 48 hours following the session.

Plan to rest and integrate after your Reiki session for at least 15 minutes before you drive. Feel free to enjoy some tea and water in our lobby until you feel ready to leave.

For the rest of the day after your Reiki treatment, make sure to drink plenty of water, limit media consumption, and allow extra time for sleep and inquiry practices such as mediation, yoga and/or journaling.

Please remember that healing is a journey, not a one time event. Give yourself as much time and space as you can to process.

The most common effect of a Reiki session is increased calm and relaxation. That being said, energy healing can sometimes released stored emotions and toxins from the body which can make you feel emotional, sluggish or mimic detox symptoms such as headache, nausea and fatigue.

Please take exquisite care of yourself after a Reiki healing session and give you body time to recalibrate.

Just like meditation or exercise, the effects of Reiki are cumulative.

While one session can work wonders, repeated, regular Reiki treatments can invite significant improvement.

As an example: if you exercise for an hour, sure you’ll receive some benefit. But if you exercise every day for a month, the results will be much more profound.

Reiki works similarly. Regular sessions support your healing journey and well-being in every way.

Reiki treatment can be integrated into your psychotherapy session for the same fee as your psychotherapy sessions.

You will not be charged more if you wish to integrate reiki into your scheduled psychotherapy session.
